As of January 19, 2022:
- COVID-19 continues to have an impact on Congressional operations. The security measures that are in place include:
- a cap on number of attendees per in-person meeting, somewhere between 5-10
- attendees will go through security, be escorted to the office by a staff member and then escorted back out through security after the meeting. Attendees will have to go through this process for each separate meeting.
- As of January 10, approximately one-third of the House (158) members have a proxy on file with the House, meaning they are not in D.C. to vote. How much longer members will use proxies is unknown.
Based on this information, it is likely that many offices will only schedule a virtual meeting.
NAA encourages you to contact your affiliate before or after registering to see what meetings are being scheduled and where participation is needed.

Proof of Vaccination
The District of Columbia has launched a city-wide vaccination entry requirement, which calls for establishments to verify proof of vaccination to enter indoor facilities within the city. This includes the Grand Hyatt Washington and we are in discussion with the hotel to clarify what the process will be.
Masks and Face Coverings
Wearing masks or other face coverings indoors is required throughout the District of Columbia including within the Grand Hyatt Washington. This mask mandate is in effect until January 31, 2022. We will continue to monitor the status and update attendees as details change.
Pre-registration for Advocate is complimentary for all attendees who register on or before March 1, 2022. After this date, registration must be done on-site and will be subject to a $50 charge.
Please Note: Congressional offices may restrict the number of people allowed to participate in meetings on Capitol Hill during Lobby Day. Registering for Advocate does not guarantee that you will be able to participate in a meeting. Please make sure you are working with your local affiliate if you are planning to attend a meeting.
